Koumáci
The Koumáci children's group uniquely combines polytechnic education and movement activities that support the all-round development of children. Thanks to the facilities of the Techmania Science Center, children regularly visit interactive exhibitions, educational programs or modern workshops that stimulate their curiosity. We emphasize an individual approach, the development of independence and cooperation and use proven methods such as the NTC learning system supported by Mensa Czech Republic. A spacious inspirational playroom with themed corners and an enclosed garden create ideal conditions for play, learning and relaxation.

Children are not bored with us
The Koumáci Children's Group programme focuses on developing children's skills and knowledge in the areas of polytechnic education, English language and physical training. We emphasize individual approach, development of independence and cooperation. We also use the programs and facilities of the Techmania Science Center.
We develop polytechnic education with the help of popular building blocks (lego, magformers, seva, train track, ...), special programmes in the Children's Group and visits to the Techmania workshop and expositions.
Once a week, the group has English language lessons under the guidance of a teacher. During the day, the teaching staff of the Children's Group support the teaching by using English phrases.
Every day there is a movement activity led by the teaching staff of the children's group using equipment such as jump rope, gymnastic ball, gymnastic bench, hoops, mats, etc. These activities take place in the playgroup room or in the Techmania Science Center.
Since June 2019, we have been included in the list of nurseries cooperating with Mensa Czech Republic. In our daily activities, we have incorporated the NTC learning system using the NTC method, which in its concept and content helps to develop the use of the brain potential of all the children involved. A side effect is often the identification of a gifted child as early as preschool age. In cooperation with Mensa Czech Republic we are also planning to test the IQ of children.
The premises for the Koumáci children's group with a capacity of 24 children are located in the Techmania Science Center building and have a separate entrance. You will find, among other things, a 100 m2 playroom with a dining area with washable floor and a carpeted area used for playing, sleeping and physical education. The playroom area has a data projector, themed play corners and furniture for storing toys.
The playgroup has its own enclosed garden of more than 500 m2.

School fees and operation
How we work
School fees for the Koumáci group for the school year 2024/2025 are 6 200 CZK (for a child over 3 years old with an overlap until 31 August after the 3rd birthday) and 4 900 CZK (for a child under 3 years old with an overlap until 31 August after the 3rd birthday)
We accept children from 2 years of age until the start of compulsory schooling.
Meals are paid separately and are set at 100 CZK/day for the school year 2024/2025.
Children are provided with a drink throughout the day. Meals include a morning snack, lunch and an afternoon snack. If a child leaves immediately after lunch, the afternoon snack is ready for collection on departure.
Children's group hours are 7:00-17:00.

- children leave after lunch 12:00-12:15
- Afternoon pick-up 14:30-17:00
Children's Group will close on the following dates in the 2024/2025 school year:
28.10. / 23. - 31. 12. / 1. 1. / 18. - 21.4. / 1. - 2. 5. / 8. - 9. 5. / 25. - 29.8.

Information on enrolment
Sign your child up for the Koumáci children's group
If we have spaces available, we accept children throughout the year. Contact the Koumáci playgroup leader to check availability.
Priority is given to children with regular attendance (Mon-Fri, at least 6 hours per day).
Admission criteria:
- Age of the child at the start of attendance at DS at least 2 years.
- At least one of the parents is economically active (employed, self-employed, student, registered at the employment office, etc.)
- Vaccination of the child according to the valid vaccination calendar
Confirmation of acceptance or rejection of the application will be sent to you by e-mail. If you do not receive any email, please contact the DS manager.
