Job for Explainers

Techmania offers possibility for native English speaking explainers to spend six months or one year in the science center.

Job description:

  • Providing direct contact with visitors of Techmania Science Center
  • Providing skilled information about exhibitions and events to the public
  • Managing of special education programs for primary and high school students
  • Presentation of scientific shows
  • Participation in adjustments and compositions of education programs and scientific shows
  • Managing of action plans and supervising of themed events for popularization of science
  • Administrative support of science center´s agenda (language corrections of English written materials or websites etc.)
  • No Czech language skills needed

Job requirements:

  • English native speaker
  • At least one-year working experience as Explainer/Edutainer/guide in a science center or similar organization
  • Orientation in topics of science centers and informal education
  • Interest and ability for working abroad
  • Administration of the reservations system
  • Positive affiliation to science and techniques
  • Very good interpersonal and communication skills

We offer

  • Six months or one year of working experience in one of the most original projects in Central Europe

  • Average salary of the Czech Republic (23 665 CZK/ 943 EUR/ 1245 USD monthly)
