Researcher’s Night 2018

As part of the implementation of the Researcher’s Night 2018 in Pilsen, activities for the general public will be financed to support leisure activities for children and young people. The theme of the Researcher’s Night 2018 is 100 years of Czech science.

Researcher’s Night is a traditional public event (free entry) whose mission is to popularize science and technology. It is a meeting of the public with science and scientists. One of the main goals of the Researcher’s Night is to raise the interest of pupils, students, and young people in general in scientific careers, and technical and natural sciences.

Researcher’s Night is organized annually by the European Commission. In 2018 it takes place on 5th October. On this day, the doors of scientific and educational institutions will open across Europe, offering a popular education program that shows the fascinating world of science and technology in particular, in hundreds of places across the European Union.

The Researcher’s Night has a long tradition in the Czech Republic and has been held since 2005. Every year, Techmania prepares a rich program consisting of shows, creative workshops, music performances, popular lectures, and competitions.
