RULES FOR THE USE OF TECHMANIA SCIENCE CENTRE PASSES AND TECHMANIA CLUB MEMBERSHIP

Introductory provisions

1. The organizer of the Techmania Klub programme (hereinafter referred to as the "Club") is Techmania Science Center o.p.s., with its registered office at U Planetária 2969/1, 301 00 Plzeň, registered at the Regional Court in Plzeň, Section O, Insert 89, ID No.: 263 966 45, VAT No.: CZ 263 966 45 (hereinafter referred to as "TSC").
   
   
2. These rules set out the mutual rights and obligations of the TSC and the members of the Club. Legal relations related to membership in the Club are governed by Czech law.
   
   
3. Club benefits apply exclusively to the TSC offer, unless otherwise specified for a specific product/service.
   
   
4. TSC is the controller of the personal data contained in the Club's database.
   
   
5. The current version of the rules can be found on the website techmania.cz/club and at the TSC reception.

Registration and card issue

1. A condition of valid registration and membership in the Club is the proper and complete completion of the registration form, providing a photograph and giving consent to the processing and use of such photographs (hereinafter referred to as "Consent") and payment of the set price for the annual season tickets.
   
   
2. Registration can be done in person at the TSC reception. Upon registration, a member identification card (hereinafter referred to as "card") bearing the photo, name of the owner and year of birth will be issued.
   
   
3. Upon registration, the reception staff will take a photograph of the applicant for the purpose of the card.
   
   
4. Each card will contain an indication of the type of season ticket (full price, reduced price, family). Each type of season ticket is subject to the conditions set out in point 3 of these rules.
   
   
5. Each holder may only have one card. In the case of a family season ticket, each family member will receive their own card.
   
   
6. The card is valid for the period indicated on the card. A new card will be issued upon payment of the price of the season ticket for the following year.
   
   
7. The card cannot be redeemed for cash.
   
   

Membership conditions

1. The card is non-transferable.
   
   
2. To become a member of the Club:
   
   
   1. a natural person; a person under 15 years of age only with the consent of his/her legal representative,
   2. a family of up to four (4) persons, at least one of whom is a child under the age of 15 (family season ticket). The Family Pass applies to specific persons and is also non-transferable, both as a whole and in individual persons. The benefits of the Family Pass can only be used by the family as a unit. Benefits apply to individual visits by individual members only,
      
      
3. The prices of season tickets are set by the current price list published on the website www.techmania.cz.
   
   
4. Membership in the Club is identical to the validity period of the season ticket (card). Membership in the Club is always for 14 months, including the calendar year including one month preceding and one month following the calendar year in which the season ticket is valid. If a new season ticket is not purchased for the next period, the membership automatically expires.
   
   
5. The TSC reserves the right to cancel the membership of a cardholder who grossly violates the TSC Visitor Rules or these rules. There is no right to a refund in such a case.
   
   
6. A Club member may terminate his/her membership at any time without giving reasons. There is no right to a refund in such a case.
   
   

Benefits of membership

1. The card entitles its holder to unlimited free access to all TSC exhibitions.
   
   
2. The card entitles the holder to avail of one-off benefits announced by the TSC within the Club. The announcement will be made by posting on the website www.techmania.cz/klub.
   
   
3. TSC will send a newsletter via email to Club members informing them of TSC news as well as current Club offerings.
   
   
4. The card entitles the holder to the benefits of TSC membership in the Association of Science - Technology Centers (ASTC). Individual ASTC affiliated organisations determine their own specific benefits - e.g. free admission. An up-to-date list of all affiliated organizations is posted at astc.org.
   
   

Using the card and taking advantage of the benefits

1. Benefits can only be used by presenting your card at the TSC box office or partner science center.
   
   
2. In order for the discount to be deducted from the price of the ticket being purchased under section 4 of this policy, payment must be made in person at the TSC box office (reservations can be made online in advance, but payment cannot be made). No discount can be applied for online payments!
   
   
3. The card must only be presented by the legal holder.
   
   

Personal data protection

1. The personal data of Club members are protected in accordance with Act No. 101/2000 Coll,
   on the protection of personal data, as amended, and in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
   
   
2. By completing the registration data, the Club member agrees to the collection and processing of personal data (in the case of a family season ticket, the personal data of all listed family members) listed on the season ticket application for the purpose of fulfilling the rights and obligations arising from membership in the Club. The Club Member acknowledges that he/she must provide personal data correctly and truthfully and that he/she is obliged to inform the Seller of any change in his/her personal data without undue delay. Personal data can be updated at the TSC reception. For the purposes stated herein, personal data means in particular - first and last name, email, date of birth and postcode.
   
   
3. The Buyer consents to the Seller sending commercial communications and special offers to Club Members to the Club Member's electronic address (email) provided on the Season Ticket application form. The Club Member may opt-out of receiving commercial offers and correspondence by electronic means at any time.
   
   
4. TSC states that the postcode is processed by TSC for TSC statistical and marketing purposes only.
   
   
5. TSC agrees to use the information provided on the Club's registration form solely for the Club's purposes or for statistical and marketing purposes as set out in Article 6(d) of these Rules.
   
   
6. Personal data is processed by TSC's own employees (in a non-automated physical form) and is stored in binders which are kept in locked cabinets of TSC's responsible persons. Access to this data is further protected by a system of office access cards, which is set according to the extent necessary for the performance of the tasks of individual TSC employees. Personal data will only be disclosed to third parties if required by specific legislation. Personal data will not be made public.
   
   
7. Should the purchaser believe that TSC is processing his/her personal data in violation of the law, in particular if the personal data is inaccurate with regard to the purpose of the processing, he/she may:
   
   
   1. ask TSC for an explanation,
   2. request that TSC remedy the situation.
      
      
8. If a Club member requests information about the processing of his/her personal data, TSC is obliged to provide him/her with this information. TSC shall have the right to charge a reasonable fee for the provision of the information referred to in the preceding sentence, not exceeding the costs necessary to provide the information.
   
   
9. Upon termination of membership, a member's personal data will be deleted or shredded.
   
   

Loss of card

1. If the original card is lost, stolen or damaged, the Club member may request a replacement card.
   
   
2. TSC charges a fee of 80 CZK for the issue of a replacement card.
   
   
3. A replacement card can only be issued at the TSC reception. The receptionist is entitled to look at the Club member's identity documents and check whether the data matches the personal data in the Club's database.
   
   
4. TSC is not liable for damage caused by the loss of the card or its misuse by a third party, unless it is proven that the damage was caused by the actions of TSC.
   
   

Final provisions

1. TSC may make changes and modifications to these rules at any time. Amendments will be made by posting the new Rules on the website and depositing them at the TSC front desk. If a Club member does not cancel his/her membership within 1 month of the publication of the changes, he/she shall be deemed to accept and be bound by the new Rules.
   
   
2. TSC may cancel the Club at any time. In such a case, the TSC will offer an adequate replacement to the Club members.
   
   
3. These rules are effective as of December 6, 2018. The rules preceding these rules are no longer valid as of the date of this document.
