Do I have to book a school group visit even if I am only interested in a free tour of the exhibitions?
Yes, for organizational reasons, school groups must be booked in advance - by phone at the reception 734 283 922 or online at www.eshop.techmania.cz.
Do I have to pay a cancellation fee for pupils/students who do not turn up?
There is no cancellation fee. We update the exact number of pupils/students on the day of arrival at reception, so please book the maximum number of pupils/students you wish to bring.
Can I book a guide?
Guided tours of the exhibition spaces are conducted independently, without a guide. In case of any doubts and questions, you can contact our edutainers who will be happy to advise you and explain everything you need.
Can I book a science show?
Reservations for specific shows are not possible. Individual shows run according to the daily schedule, which is listed on our website. The show is part of the ticket to the exhibitions and can be attended by anyone.
How many escorts can come with the group?
We count on two chaperones per class. As educators, you can come to our science center for free at any time. This also applies to private visits. Because without you, the educators, the popularization of science would not have such an effect. You can use any educator's ID card or a completed form as proof of profession, which can be found HERE.
How long does it take to visit the science centre?
It is recommended to allocate at least 3 hours. If you want to visit the accompanying programmes (thematic blocks, films), please allow more time.
Is it possible to pay for the visit by invoice?
Yes, this is possible by prior arrangement. Contact our colleagues at the reception - by phone at 734 283 922 or by e-mail skoly@techmania.cz. We invoice back after the visit for the exact number of pupils/students you came with and send by post.
Where can I park?
There are three car parks in the immediate vicinity of the science centre, including a covered car park.
Is parking free or is there a fee?
All-day parking from 60,- per day.
Are there handicapped parking spaces in the area?
Yes, there are 14 parking spaces available in car park P1.
Is there a charging station for electric vehicles?
Unfortunately, we do not have charging stations for electric vehicles at the moment. However, we plan to introduce them in the future.
Are allergens listed on the food?
For packaged products, allergens are listed directly on the packaging. For dishes from our restaurant, the staff will be happy to tell you on request.
Do you have gluten-free meals?
Yes, there is always at least one gluten-free dish on the menu.
Do you offer vegetarian and vegan meals?
Vegetarian food is standard. Vegan dishes are rarely on the daily menu.
