Do We Drink Water from Comets?

Water is a precondition for the origins of life. Consisting of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom, this relatively simple compound is found on Earth in gaseous, liquid and solid forms. Water accounts for most of the Earth’s surface. Water makes up most of our body by weight. However, one fundamental question is left unanswered: where did all this water came from? Perhaps the answer is more complex than anyone might expect.
